HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Luis Salgado, shown at right, has been selected as one of the 12 Coors Light Líderes for his commitment to empower the Latino community. The 12 leaders (líderes in Spanish) are competing to become the 2017 Coors Light Líder of the Year through an online public voting competition. Should he win, his organization, R.Evolución Latina, will receive a $25,000 grant to implement towards their free programming. To cast your vote for him, click here. Allison Strong, shown at left, was featured in Deadline, where it announced her co-starring role as Adam Sandler's daughter in the film The Week Of (written by Sandler and Robert Smigel and directed by Smigel), which also stars Chris Rock and is produced by Netflix and Happy Madison Productions. Luis Galli was featured in the weekly New York newspaper El Especialito, where his starring role in the Peruvian miniseries "Rosa de Santa María" was noted. Also co-starring in the miniseries (which will air in various networks in Latin America) is Inma Heredia (who was also mentioned in the article. Angie Regina co-stars in the short film Indentured Servant (written, directed and starring Bobby DeJesús). The film is an official selection of the Official Latino Short Film Festival in New York, scheduled to take place in September at The Poets Den Theater in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood of New York. Carlos NavedoYvette Quintero, and Héctor Luis Rivera star in the short film Quédate (written and directed by Wilton Reynoso). The film is an official selection of the Official Latino Short Film Festival in New York, scheduled to take place in September at The Poets Den Theater in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood of New York. Elaine Del Valle wrote, directed, produced and stars in the short film Final Decision. Also starring Berto Colón and Elyn Jaime Jenkins, the film is headed for the film festival circuit, with its next stop being in September at the Official Latino Short Film Festival, taking place at The Poets Den Theater in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood of New York.
