HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Manuel A. Morán, shown at left, was featured in the Héctor Luis Sin Censura blog (written and edited by Héctor Luis Rivera), where his role as actor, director, and producer of A 3 vocesThe musical revue, which spotlights the music of romantic songs performed by musical trios, will be presented in February at Teatro SEA's namesake theater in The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. To read the blog, which is in Spanish, click here.

Vladimir Ríos, in collaboration with photographer Lester Blum, have completed their latest documentary photography project. Titled Invisible, it shines a light on everyone who feels “invisible” in today’s society, whether it be caused by age, handicap or disability, mental illness, disease, weight issues, or lifestyle. The project will be photographed along as being  a documentary along with testimonies that the individual would like to share with the viewers. The project will be exhibited at The Hub at the LGBT Visitor Center in Miami Beach, Florida with an opening reception planned for Thursday, April 13, 2017.
