HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Víctor Cruz, shown at right, is quite busy as of late. He will be acting in the Paco Lozano-Wiese play The Next Stop Is.... Directed by Julie Lucas,  the short play will be presented as part of an event titled The Shelter Peep Show: A Different America. The production will take place on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Hill Country, located in Manhattan's Flatiron District. For more information, click here. In addition, he will be directing Corina Katt Ayala's self-penned solo show Voices in My Head. Starring Ayala, the production will be presented at The Poets Den Theater, located in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood. For more information, click here and here. Finally, his HOLA Award-winning film The Stockroom (in which Cruz starred, as well as wrote, directed, and produced) will be screened on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Vacca Grill & Lounge, located in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. In addition, the event will feature special appearances by comedians Sara Contreras and Angelo Lozada.

Pablo Andrade, shown at left, was interviewed in the television program "Nuestra Tele Internacional" (Nuestra Tele), where he spoke about his upcoming class of Uta Hagen technique (taught with María Fontanals) at the world renowned HB Studio (the first to be taught there in the Spanish language). Marlene Forté acted in a national Spanish-language commercial for Universal Orlando resort, which can be seen below (she plays the role of the mother-in-law/grandmother).
