HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Vladimir Ríos, shown above left, was featured in the August 2016 issue of A&U magazine, where he spoke of  his collaboration with photographer Lester Blum, the documentary photography project Invisible, which shines a light on everyone who feels “invisible” in today’s society, whether it be caused by age, handicap or disability, mental illness, disease, weight issues, or lifestyle. The project was photographed and filmed as a documentary of the testimonies of the models. The project is currently exhibiting at the Pride Center of Staten Island/Staten Island LGBT Community Center, located in the Tompkinsville area of Staten Island, with an opening reception scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2016. For more information, click here or here. To read the article in A&U magazine, click on the images above right, then left, and then right, respectively.
