HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Raoul Daniel Lunashown at rightwill be playing Ali Hakim in Roger's & Hammerstein's classic musical Oklahoma! Directed by Tina Lee, the production will take place in April and May at the Somerset Valley Playhouse in Hillsborough, New Jersey. For more information, click here and here.

Lucio Fernández, Tony Rodríguez and Mônica Steuer are co-starring in Almas de furia, a police thriller being filmed in both Argentina and New York. The feature film is co-produced by Rodríguez (for AiresNewYorkFilm) and is being co-directed by Pablo Yotich (Argentina unit) and Fernández (New York unit).

Juan Villarreal, shown at left and also see below, starred opposite Diana Carolina Pou in the NYU film short El cantador de la luz (written and directed by Lorena Durán), which was filmed in New York City. [He received the role after the director saw him in the HOLA online directory of talent and asked him to audition.]

Alfonso Rey is designing the technical aspect of the production Así que pasen cinco años. Written by Federico García Lorca and directed by Paul Montoya, 
the production by La Caja de los Prejuicios/The Prejudice Box stars Caridad del ValleVenuz DelmarChristian López LamelasSamuel GarnicaJuan Villarreal (also see above), Sergio Freijo, and Miriam Pinedo, and will be presented in June as part of the VI Festival de Teatro Hispano del Comisionado, which will take place at the Teatro Rafael Villalona at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en los EEUU, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. Pablo Andrade and María Fontanals will be teaching the first ever Uta Hagen workshop taught in Spanish at world famous HB Studios (founded by Hagen's husband Herbert Berghof). The workshop, titled "Explorando monólogos con la técnica de Uta Hagen" ("Exploring Monologues with the Uta Hagen Method"), is a rigorous, four-day program taking place in July 2016.
