While the eagerly awaited film Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens won't open in theaters until Friday, December 18, 2015, information is being released about its sequel.

The latest comes directly from 2015 HOLA Awards honoree Benicio Del Toro, who confirms he’ll be playing the villain in Episode VIII. The Puerto Rican Academy Award-winning actor shared the news in an interview with Spanish radio station RAC 1 (via Slash Film), adding that production for the film will begin in March 2016.

The only other actors confirmed for Episode VIII are Daisy Ridley and Guatemalan-Cuban actor Oscar Isaac, both of who will make their Star Wars debut in Episode VII. Rian Johnson has been hired to write and direct the film, which is due in theaters May 26, 2017. For more information, click here.
