HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Franco González, shown at right, booked a recurring role in the upcoming Showtime series "Billions" (starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti).

Indio Meléndez will be performing his self-penned solo show Indiosyncrasy (directed by Dudley Findlay, Jr.) as part of the Juerga en El Barrio event. Presented by the Hispanic Federation in collaboration with Boundless Theatre Company and Producciones El Barrio, it will take place in July at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center (located in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood). Vladimir Ríos, shown at left, in character, was mentioned in The Body blog where the photo series Warrior of Hope (a collaboration with photographer Lester Blum) was highlighted. Jonathan Cruz acted in an episode of "Greatest Mysteries: Cuba" (The Travel Channel).
José Sepúlveda and SepLo Productions is presenting the next incarnation of the Sueño Pop concert series. The concert series was recently featured in the Héctor Luis Sin Censura blog (written by 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Héctor Luis Rivera). Titled "Baila", it will feature music direction by Carlos Escalona and be presented on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Drom, located in Manhattan's East Village.
