HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Luis Salgado, shown at right, is directing, producing and choreographing the musical Zuccotti Park (named after the NYC park that was the birthplace of the Occupy Wall Street movement). Written by Catherine Hurd (book and lyrics) and Vatrena King, the production was highlighted in Broadway World and will be presented in February and March as part of the 2015 Venus/Adonis Festival at 44o Studios, located in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood. Blanca Camacho has been doing a lot of voiceover work lately, including voicing the character of Abuela in the Showtime series "Happyish" and additional work on episodes of "The Slap" (NBC) and the final episode of "Nurse Jackie" (Showtime). 


The film I Am Julia (written by Marisol Carrere and directed by David Capurso; produced by Carrere and Gloria Zelaya) will have a screening at The United Nations Dag Hammarskjöld Auditorium on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 as part of the I Am Peace Project. The short film stars Leidi Salazar, Carolina Ravassa, Carrere, Doua Moua, Tationna Bousier, Brenda Gómez, Zahaira Curiel and Tamara Turner. For more information, click here, here or here.


Basílica Bliachas and Noëlle Mauri star in the webseries "Just in New York". Written and directed by Yolanda García Serrano, the webseries also stars RJ Batlle, Arthur Griffith and Seth James.
