The highly anticipated Fox series "Gotham" has not one, but two HOLA members in recurring roles. The show is an upcoming American superhero television series created by Bruno Heller, based on characters appearing in and published by DC Comics, specifically those of Detective James Gordon and Bruce Wayne, who were created by Bob Kane, and others in DC's Batman franchise. The series stars Ben McKenzie (as the young Gordon), Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, Zabryna Guevara and David Mazouz (as the young Bruce Wayne, who will later become Batman). David Zayas is playing the role of Salvatore "The Boss" Maroni. In addition, J.W. Cortés is playing the role of Detective Álvarez. In addition to Zayas, Cortés and Guevara, other Latinos in the cast include Carmen Bicondova, Victoria Cartagena and Sara Paxton. Andrea Navedo.
"Jane The Virgin" is also a highly anticipated new series debuting on The CW. The upcoming American serial comedy-drama television series is a loose adaptation of the Venezuelan telenovela "Juana la virgen" (created by Perla Farías). Set in Miami, it stars Gina Rodríguez in the lead role, as a hard-working, religious young Latina woman whose family tradition and a vow to save her virginity until her marriage to a detective is shattered when a doctor accidentally artificially inseminates her by mistake during a checkup. To make matters worse, the biological donor is a married man, a former playboy and cancer survivor who is not only the new owner of the hotel where Jane works, but was also her former teenage crush. HOLA member Andrea Navedo plays Jane's mother Xiomara and Ivonne Coll plays Jane's grandmother Alba. Jaime Camil and Diane Guerrero co-star in the series, which is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 13, 2014. Click here for more information about the series.

Marlene Forté.
HOLA member Marlene Forté can be seen playing Carmen Ramos on the TNT reboot of the popular CBS nighttime drama "Dallas" (1978-1991). The new series is one of the few television programs ever to have a Latina as an executive producer and showrunner (Cynthia Cidre). The show stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy (also from the original series), as well as Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe and Brenda Strong. Latino actors include regular cast members Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Kuno Becker and Juan Pablo DiPace. This season was notable as it was the first after the death of original series Larry Hagman (who played popular character J.R. Ewing), who passed away due to cancer. The third season of "Dallas" will wrap up on Monday, September 22, 2014. For more information on the series (or to see previous episodes), click here.
