HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

2014 HOLA Awards recipient Edna Lee Figueroa was profiled in a recent issue of the Puerto Rican newspaper La Semana, where she spoke of her being awarded a 2014 HOLA Award for her role in the Teatro Círculo production Carmen Loísaida (written by Eva Cristina Vásquez and directed by 2014 HOLA Awards recipient Beatriz Córdoba). It also talks of her latest project, the solo show Láyel (written and directed by Joselo Arroyo), which is scheduled to take place in October as part of the Monologando Ando festival at the Roy Arias Studios and Theaters, located in the theater district of Manhattan in New York City.
