HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface.

Mauricio Bustamante
will present his film Caja de galletas at the Tiny Lights Short Film Festival (TLSFF) in New York. The screening will happen on November 11, 2012 at Teatro LATEA, located in the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan’s Loísaida neighborhood. The film stars Laura Patalano, Miguel Rangel, Miki Urtiaga, Osvaldo Hernández, Ernesto De Villa Bejjani and Bustamante. For more information, click here.

Caridad de la Luz (also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja) will be performing at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York on Friday, November 16, 2012 for the Zeta (Ζ) chapter of the Phi Iota Alpha (ΦΙΑ) fraternity.

Liam Torres is set to start shooting the film Rover, based on the Heaven's Gate cult (written and directed by Tony Blahd).

Mario Golden and Andreas Robertz are directing Charlotte’s Song, a play conceived and written by Nancy Ferragallo. Featuring music by Luciano Berio, Philip Glass and Steve Reich, the tanztheater-style play will have a run in November at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in the Long Island City area of Queens.

Daphne Rubin-Vega will star in the second season of the webseries “Hustling” (written, directed and starring Sebastian La Cause). For more information, click here or here. One can also see the teaser for the second season of the webseries by clicking on the video below (there is some strong language and adult situations).
