Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members are in boldface.

will be seen in Listen To Your Mother. A national series of live readings by local writers in celebration of Mother's Day, each production of the tour (which have included stops in Austin, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Washington, District of Columbia; Madison, Wisconsin; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Valparaiso, Indiana; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; San Francisco, California; and Spokane, Washington) is directed, produced and performed by local communities, for local communities. The show will happen on Sunday May 6, 2012 at 2pm 0at JCC/Manhattan Goldman Soddenfeldt Family Auditorium in Manhattan's West Side. For more information, click here, here or here.

Jaime Espinal's play No Problemo, Amigo, which was presented by Thalía Spanish Theatre in May and June of this year, will be headed in September to the 34th annual Manizales International Theater Festival in Manizales, Colombia. The production, which was produced, designed and directed by Ángel Gil Orrios (with assistant direction by Martha Luis Osorio), stars Espinal, Susan Rybin, Alicia Kaplan, Francisco Fuertes, Premier Solís, Jesús E. Martínez, Yolanda Castillo, Andrés Martínez and Alexandra Gutiérrez.


The Susannah Dalton comedy The Importance of Doing Art, directed by José Ignacio Vivero and produced by PinPuppets Productions, is an official selection of the NYC International Fringe Festival (fringeNYC), scheduled in August. The production stars Tom Morf, Nick O'Neil, Sara Hendricks, Carissa Dagenais and Paul de Vries. For more information, click here.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is slated to perform as part of Like Clockwork, a benefit for the 52nd Street Project. He will share the stage with Bobby Cannavale, Telly Leung, Lindsay Méndez and others.
