HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs.

Johnathan Cedano just completed a run of the James Earl Hardy-penned solo show Confessions of A Homo Thug Porn Star. This run included a special performance of the show in Spanish (translated by Cedano himself and titled Confesiones de un Bugarrón Estrella). The show, directed by Indio Meléndez, was presented at the Roy Arias Theater in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.

Rodney Roldán booked a role on an episode of "Blue Bloods" (CBS).

Caridad De La Luz (also known by her nom de poésie La Bruja or by her Taíno name Kachianao) will host the third annual Taíno Awards at the Nuyorican Poets' Café in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood on April 30, 2011.

Robmariel Olea will be performing in Temple of the Souls, a musical written by Anita Vélez-Mitchell (book and lyrics), Dean Landon (music and orchestrations) and Anika Paris (music and additional lyrics). Directed by Lorca Peress (with musical direction by Bruce Baumer), the workshop production from MultiStages features Ricardo Puente, Norberto Briceño, Kenneth Kyle Martínez, Andrea Sousa, Eric Campos, Víctor Cervantes, Taleen Dersdepanian, Patricio Witis, Theresa Burns, Gina Castellanos, Giselle Gastell, Jessica Foster and Melissa Kraus and will be presented in April at Pearl Studios in midtown Manhattan.

Bill Santiago is continuing his national tour of standup comedy. To see a hilarious clip shot at the Rascals Comedy Club in Montclair, New Jersey (where he is introduced by comedian Sara Contreras), see below.
